Opera could use a gentle mocking every now and then. Opera is not some concept that’s above the average human, it is an art that should be appreciable by all. If anyone in Victor’s audience went and listened to a Mozart opera as a result of this sketch then great, but even if they don’t, it’s a very astute summation of the often ludicrous nature of 18th century opera.

@upsss888 it’s kind of a subtle joke actually. He has set up that there are trees on either side of the stage and he’s commented about her size so when he says “between her big…” people think that he’s going to say, breasts… but he says trees.

Maiden with Paul, Maiden with Bruce its all Good Maiden Rules period. I lean towards Bruce’s voice but you Paul was cool too. I got Pauls version and Bruces version of this song back to back on my IPOD. I just love it.

@gamerjason P.S. This song blew my mind the first time I heard it, I can’t imagine what it must have been like to people back when this first came out. I mean, I’d gotten to hear a bunch of stuff inspired by Maiden before I heard this, imagine popping in your new record or hearing this for the first time at a concert back in 1980!

Obviously the two strongest albums from Maiden are the two first ones. They served as base to a pyramid that came to be. They support the rest. Even someone that likes the later from Maiden knows this. And how can one compare one thing with its self. There is only one Maiden and that starts with the album with the bands name. It was a moment in time! Original, fresh! Enjoy the whole Maiden! Dianno is that explosion that gave Maiden that light! He gave his soul when he sang. And it is timeless!

@TheMecanix08 Paul didn’t agree with IM’s sound after Killers. Also, he’d been doing drugs, drinking and stuff like that. So, Di’Anno left and they brought Bruce Dickinson and Iron Maiden are now hugely successful.
