Part 2 of my Zune HD review, I talk about the software such as pinning a song QuickPlay, browsing through the album, song etc. I have a short overview of HD radio talk shows and the Internet browser. This video is for anyone who is always on a Zune HD plans or is on the fence about whether to get an iTouch or Zune help. Please comment and let me know if my entry has has helped you in any way. @thedarkwarriorblake not only when the “internet” was crushed, but the way they were nodding to the absolute nonsenses Jen was talking… So I too don’t see any discrimination here. If what, people who know stuff about comps, have to be male geeks, according to this (really funny) show.
@thedarkwarriorblake I actually got a couple calls to install programs that are already on their computer. I also Convinced someone that a portable hard drive I was carrying around supplied internet to the entire building and that it was broken.

But also jen is as ignorant with computers as moss is with people, which I’m sure is intentional.
It’s like in ‘Yes Minister’ where the polititians where written as the civil servants see them and the civil servants as the polititians see them, the non-IT people are as IT people see them and vice versa.
@WingParadox To be fair, in that universe, everyone has absolutely no ideal about computers. Remember how they reacted to the “internet” being crushed? Only the geekiest geeks seem to understand computers at all.
That’s a new level of dumb right there.
I liked this show but, as a female who is considerably more adept with computers than Jen, have wondered a few times what it would have been like were the genders of the characters reversed.

I never said that there isn’t a difference in gender and their uses/interest in computers, of course there is one (hugely has to do with our socialization too), so yes only computer courses don’t really help that much for the exact reason you stated, but youtubes comment limit isn’t helpful when you want to properly explain/discuss stuff XD

This still heavily plays into my point of cultural differences between genders. Any amount of PC education would mean nothing of all they want and know to use it for is myspace.
I’m about to put forth the notion that the women in your university are the only women in the world who enjoy computers, if only as an exaggeration.

@IAmPhotoBucket Actually, at my university it’s 31% women, which is, as I said, not as small as you’d think it is. Considering that in some parts in Switzerland, women couldn’t even vote until 1991 (!) it is not that bad.
But my point wasn’t really about who is more likely to study engineering, it was more that most men don’t study engineering either. Most people suck at computers. And instead of getting sexist here, it would be more helpful to just have better PC education in schools etc.^^
@Paraplueschi If all you have in your argument is to take something I said in the most literal, exaggerated way possible, then you don’t have much of an argument. If all you can hope to argue is “Well not ALL women suck at technology!” Then just pat yourself on the back right now and go away.
A man is far more likely to be technologically and mechanically inclined. Even statistics of college courses show this. The ONE girl in applied engineering or whatever doesn’t really change much.

Yes, there is a trend, undoubtedly. But I doubt the gender gap is actually as large as you imagine it to be (as I said, most guys suck as well) and you said “never give a woman [...]” which says as much as “all woman suck at technologies”. Generalization is of poor taste (in any topic, really), plus, it’s wrong. (And it makes you sound like an asshole ^^” Which I doubt you are, because one can actually discuss with you. A rare occurrence on youtube!)

hmm. Did you try to play random songs too and did they only play 5 seconds? Some songs play for 30 seconds because you have to buy those songs as a part of the album but no song is only supposed to play for only 5 seconds.
I would reboot your zune, your Wifi router and try again
Candy, nice review. I have question. WHen I use my wifi I can browse the net and download songs off marketplace, but when I try to stream a song off market place, it only places 5 seconds and stops. I’m a zunepass emmber, so I don’t know what’s wrong. Have any ideas?
It is entirely dependent on your own personal Wifi signal strength. For me personally, I got a great signal but my Wifi was in the next room.
