hyneas might not be eager to attack lions, especially not males……but ill tell you one thing, they are never scared! i seen a couple vids with them actually “fighting” male lions

I agree hyenas are amazing animals and the myth of them scavenging is false they hunt more and have a better success rate than lions and its lions who scavenge from hyenas more. Lions are impressive tho majkongg.

your both wrong, the walking with one front foot in the air, is used as a signal by the hyena’s to coordinate a concentrated attack, notice they start forming into one area where they are walking with the one leg lifted, and then attack all together from there
Most predators in general hunt in packs, so I won’t say lions are cowards for doing that. I just don’t understand why everyone considers hyenas to be worthless scavengers and not lions. Lions scavenge kills just like hyenas

One more male lion or two to three more female lions would have ward off any attempted steal made by the hyenas. The hyenas practically had their whole clan there. Actually, two mature male lions would have also ward off any attempted hyena steal. Although there is strength in numbers, a lion pride at full strength versus a hyena clan at full strength will always result in a lion win.
Hyenas are super predators, love them…They are clever, strong and charismatic.Single hyena can kill gnu and pack of hyenas kill buffalo…Thanks God- people see true, not stuppid stereotips! Only dumb people hate this amazing animals!

I was really surprised that three lionesses held off THAT many hyenas for as long as they did. Though I suppose it’s because no hyena is eager to be the first to charge them.
I love hyenas… Despite popular belief they are extremely good hunters and they scavenge when they can as you can see.

BTW, there are stats of death rate among hunters attacked by injured and/or charging animals, of the Big Five lion is not the worst case, elephants and buffalos are much more dangerous.

Agree. I think I could try go on hunting, and by hunting I mean tracking down, shooting, skining and coocking, and this pretty much excludes all big game if you are hunting alone because of limited carry capacity. 8D
I don’t mention here shooting down some animals for populaton control, that’s completely different case, like shooting hogs when they start doing damage to crops or some predators that have developed a taste for cattle… or worse.
I don’t have a problem with hunting for food but Why hunt lion’s?
