Katherine, I dont care what any of these people say. You are AMAZING as always. They are just jealous cuz your voice is gorgeous! Love you!
@goldenthroat86 You miss the point. The mics are needed for recording. I have told on you about this no microphones in opera business. You are for it, dear.
@StoptheHaters2 In the opera house, microphones are NEVER used. The only time a classical singer uses a microphone for amplification is when a performance is outdoors or in a truly HUGE auditorium…well over 5000 seats. And occasionally for a “crossover” concert . The you tube videos you’ve seen that show Pav, Domingo, etc. using mikes are for these situations.
If you watch videos of them actually performing opera onstage, or singing classical concerts, they don’t use mics.
@kamishiro18 I know it is a comma, dear. I know that. In British English nobody gives a damn about so called “comma splices”.
@frufruJ I suggest that to learn better English you should read the established greats of the language. You’ll soon see that all of them start sentences with “and” and “but”. Anyone who tells you it is bad English is a fucktard. But you know better, I suppose. And my second suggestion is you don’t take what your fucktard ESL teacher tells you as gospel.
@Bella3208 She needs a mic for the same reason all opera singers use a mic in these situations. Why, in all of the UTube videos of Pavarotti, Dominingo, etc are they using microphones?
why does she need a mic…
that sounds very breathless…
I don’t like it… too much breathing…
what is this song called that she is singing
she still looks good and sound great!
@StoptheHaters2 As Winston Churchill once said, “Correcting my grammar is something up with which I shall not put”.
Just remember to never split your infinitives.
And never use participles when dangling.
She sings so beautiful!
If she is an opera singer, why does she need a microphone? She’s okay. Having worked with some of the greatest opera singers, I really don’t think she anything special. It’s all packaging really.
Is this opera or crossover? I’m not sure. Why is it airy?
Her French isnt too beautiful. It kinda downgrades the piece a little bit. but overall, nice sound, lovely.
She needs to work on her breathing. You can actually hear her gulping for air.
DAMN what a voice. and, of course, she’s stunning
Wow… I would say. The voice (from nature) is spectacular. However, I would say that her teachers should be shot. She’s not a mezzo.. she’s a young dramatic. Actually, she could have a huge and long career if she found a teacher that understood what she’s got. Dramatics can sing till 65 or 70 if they are smart. But most teachers haven’t a clue about how to deal with dramatics. Shame really.
@musicguru62988 hi i don’t know a lot about music but i’m interested….i mean i hear that bocelli sings more in a pop way but why not jenkins?? what is the difference pl??
People KILL me when they try to say bad things about opera singers like Katherine. It isnt like they could do what she does and honestly….I wouldn’t want to hear them try. Katherine is a very talented and beautiful woman.
Lovely lyric mezzo. She doesn’t have Kate Lindsey’s smoldering low register, and probably doesn’t have Joyce DiDonato’s dazzling coloratura, but she certainly has sufficient attributes for a legitimate career in opera.
soooo good, love her
Thanks for sharing
Painful to listen to and very sharp on the last note. If you want to listen to it how it’s supposed to sound from a contemporary performer, check out Elina Garanca on Youtube. You won’t be disappointed!
