It makes me sad that the European invasion meant the culture of Native Americans would become obscured. It’s a beautiful culture. Coming from a “white” Canadian, I wish that things had gone differently, even if it would mean I wouldn’t have been born.
@MsNativeWolf I don’t understand why Native Americans were seen as aggressors. Would other civil people just sit back while someone encroached upon their land? The European settlers were far more savage and barbaric.
Wow.. Genocide, residential schools and white assimilation really fucked our people up. But I believe that in this generation and the generations to come, we are going to get our true ways back. The traditional ways are arriving, and have been well kept thanks to our grand parents. There is always light at the end of the tunnel. I know this in my heart. <3

I’m mostly Irish with just a tiny bit of native in me..but I support this culture 100%. I’ve been going to pow wows for years now as a gourd dancer. And I wear Eastern Cherokee regalia, as I am from Alabama. I’m not sure how your tribe feels about white people..but here,we like to welcome everyone, as we are all brothers in the eyes of the Creator..Aho

It’s funny how people think were like inhuman or something…when in the real world were all just normal beings. We may have a strong culture, yes, but that is because we have survived genocide for hundreds of years and we still rise to the top with love and pride. I think all the native of the world must realize their original identity and revive their ancient culture and religion. Today Mother Nature is angry and Mother Earth is dying all attributed to western civilization, globalization and greedy corporation.

@Scharreljus Yeah, well there are a few organisations trying to change things like Greenpeace and Sea Sheperd but they only focus on particular issues, someone needs to start a group that focuses on the broader picture. and the internet is a great tool for that.

What sect are you talking about? , I’m just a normal Christian like you. I’m protestant. Jehovah Rapha, God is our healer, Jehovah Jireh, God our Provider, these are all names of God. Jehovah I don’t think you will see in the English Bibles, but if you do a study if the Hebrew you would find that is one of God’s names. You can talk to your pastor about it. But seriously, you shouldn’t make assumptions or judgments about people you don’t know. I’m a firm believer in Jesus Christ.
