Hi Kelly! You’ve got an incredibly beautiful collection of songs from Luke! This song likes me best! Say you’re a man or a woman? Thank you for these great songs! I wish I had Luke can also see time in Germany! He will never forget! Rest in peace Luke, Cirian and Ronnie!
@moistplinth930 no he didn’t write it. it’s writer has been lost in history like a lot of these folk songs.this is a sister to the scottish song “tramps and hawkers”. same melody same chords just different words, no one really knows where a lot of these songs actually originate from, seems to always be either scotland or ireland
@Nigelk388 Just because someone doesn’t like it doesn’t make them a cunt. I love it, but people are all entitled to their opinions just as you are. I wouldn’t insult you if You didn’t like something I posted. ”And as different as we are we’re still the same”
@casperld That is very true, Music is dead (look at most modern music). Depth and meaning has gone the way for money and cars as the subject matter. Wish I could have saw him in person, But I know Ill hear him in Heaven one day.

Slan go foill, Rob….
always love Luke, this song more poignant to me now that i am going working on oil rigs soon & I have 2 young children, this song brings tears to my eyes
This is an amazing song, written by a Scottish musician (and you can really tell its Scottish by the chords and melody). But this version is extremely touching and sincere in the pain of a mother’s voice telling her little son about he wayward father. This song has touched me deeply.
