Yes I tried M$ Internet Explorer 9 for a week and it still SUCKS, Firefox is still better and faster than IE.

@ytvoice1 I think however, that if Google Frame gets HW acceleration, then it CAN be a game changer. Obviously this is done from MS to “encourage” people to upgrade the OS. But a lot of people are happy with XP, and they will be, even if IE9 is so much “better”. You HAVE to be aware of that, of you develop web pages. Else youre not a goood web developer.
@andStack I do not think so. Of course the other browsers will have hardware acceleration as well. But… Noone will use this for a long time, because 60% of the world still use IE<9, and still will after IE9 comes out in final.
If you develop web pages, you will have two choices… either shit on the people using “old” brosers… or making two web pages for each one. Which again makes me believe, the speed of Javascript itself and the fast rendering of “usual” CSS2 will be more appreciated.
So… how are they going to make fallback to IE6, IE7 and IE8?

IE(9) is going to have some of the same features that google chrome already has. The text on the web pg supported the hints provided by the video that microsft will “chromify” IE 9.0′s interface by mimicking Google’s browser’s UI. PS: IE(9) only going to be available for win vista and windows 7 NO XP!!!!!!! AND THE !ST READ BETA VERSION IS DUE IN SEPTEMBER , 17, 2010! AND THE BROWSER WILL SHIP IN APRIL 2011.

These comparisons are BS! if you have so much trust in your product don’t compare with other browsers that didn’t do ANY optimization yet. IE ONLY code is of no use to anyone.. MS has to show some improvement because early 2011 webkit browsers will get a huge update as well. Only good thing is that they are open with their communication.

Firefox 4 & IE9 has the biggest changes.
