To be honest, I never thought this video would be as popular as it is, I did it on a lark for webBikeWorld and mostly to learn how to use a video camera and upload videos to YouTube! If I was doing it today, I’d do it in HD and with much better sound! Thanks for everyone’s support on this.

I tried several Meguiar’s products but this needed some heavy-duty corrosion busters. I have an older version of Meguiar’s metal polish but think that some of the other types we have reviewed on webBikeWorld work much better.

Too much of a chance of scratching I think, plus the pad is made from ferrous metal and can leave bits that will rust later.

Noxon works really well, I used it on my chrome wheels that had mud stuck to them real bad and what the soap didn’t take off,noxon did right away. I was hesitant to use it but I don’t see any damage on the chrome finish and they were shinny like new. Ima have to buy a couple since I know they work and as soon as alot of ppl find out I hope there’s enough lol
Good question, I guess it depends on what you mean by “slight discoloration” and “water spots”. I’m surprised the Noxon didn’t clean them up. If the chrome is thin or or poor quality, you may or may not be able to clean it up. It also can depend on the base metal type that has been used for the chrome plating. Try a mild polish maybe like Wenol?
what do you use to clean up slight discoloration and water spots on chrome, noxon did not work for me and i get mixed feelings between vinegar and billet polish.
just use extra fine steel wool on chrome and see the miracle happennnnnnnnn bandit
I’m pretty sure anything around the house may not exactly be chrome-safe.

Yes, most of them are listed as working with several types of metals, but always try first in a small area to make sure it won’t scratch or harm the finish.

Wow, sorry to hear that! If you haven’t damaged the clearcoat or paint, the first thing I would try is some light polish, perhaps a metal polish. If that doesn’t work, you might be able to use finer and finer sandpaper, wet sanding with really fine 320 or finer grit, to smooth out the scratches. Then eventually you might be able to use a metal polish to get it smooth. But it’s very difficult to say without looking at your wheels!
What if I’m an idiot and read this to late and used a fine sandpaper to remove pitting in the rim? How do I get my scratches out now?

@IHATEGBDISPUTES Not true. My parents had IE and the computer was slow as hell, yet the computer was brand new. I told my step dad that Chrome was better. I downloaded Chrome for him, below and behold, the computer loaded pages MUCH faster. At my school, people downloaded Firefox on all the computers, I don’t really like Firefox, so the computers I use, I downloaded Chrome, and it runs websites faster, on the same computers. Never had any add-ons.

Chrome is my favorite internet browser. There’s a reason IE keeps updating their browser, and that’s because it sucks. Google Chrome doesn’t need 9 different versions because its fucking perfect!

@thefettman2 well,at the first i never experienced any problems like this. 2)Well after a little bit of research i found out that no browser has perfect security,there are only difference in levels 3)To deal with viruses is the work of an antivirus,we cant blame our browsers for not providing security just cuz we visited some virus sites.There are always ways to overcome things.4)Google chrome is da best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Fasest browser cuz of which most ppl use it.

@locanix wow security of google chrome is quite good as well..it warned me many times from phishing sites…and never had any virus problems cuz of any site..

I use Google Chrome for my main browser it’s amazing.
I tried using Firefox a few days ago and holy crap. Comparing the two there is an obvious speed difference. Chrome is extremely fast.
