Cost a $1.00
Huh for a moment I thought this video might be about someone getting firefox to run on an Atari 800
Just a head’s up.. This movie is coming to Blu-ray in June 2011
Firefox was quite advanced as far as laserdisk games went, it used the video on the laser disk as background and overlayed computer graphics over them its basicly a rail shooter with short moments of control over the firefox that allow you to chose to fly along the ground or at high altude with the ability at a few key points to pull up over a mountain or take off by pulling up, Like all laser disk games it had reliability isues with the disk player that frustrated many arcade owners
I seem to remember the cockpit cab for this was H-U-G-E then again maybe it was just me being a kid. But this does bring back fond childhood memories for as long as my 20p lasted i actually WAS Clint Eastwood in the Firefox
remember, think russian, think russian.
So basically you do no flying, it is just a shooting galley….
laserdisc games wher just so cool back in the day, and from one of my favorite movies, what a gem
how much is it for sale
check it out on ebay..
..all pre-recorded video for the ground and sky.. the problem with laserdisc games was that you couldn’t control the movement where you wanted to go..
OMG!!! My all time favorite arcade game! Ah the memories! I had the book, & watched the movie countless times too!!
Anyone know if this game is available as a PC game nowadays? I’d love to play it again.
Remarkable work by Atari for its day. Clint Eastwood was called in to re-record lines of dialogue specifically for this game. I remember the first time I saw this, put my money down.. I WAS flying the Mig-31.Unlimited mission, I could spend all day on it. Its high time that someone emulated this classic, groundbreaking machine. Thanks for posting this and thanks for the memory.
“Ice up a cold one, Im coming home”
it was a arcade game. Atari’s First (and only) Laserdisk game—it was during the era where Dragon’s Lair and Space Ace were popular.
awesone graphics for 1982, what was its console?
Good game, good gameplayer too. Well done!
Played this in Minehead in a cockpit version many moons ago. Was truely awesome all those years ago. Sadly when I went back there a year after it arrived it had been turned into Sega Choplifter
They need to update this shit..
Great memories.
I hardly played a few laserdisc games when I was young but I did hear about them. This game, along with Astron belt were my favorites.
I remember it well – 30p a go to play it! But pretty amazing to look at in its day.
are you selling this firefox game
do you own this game cobracomand is much funner but firefox is on my book for laser games
Great, that i finally can see Atari´s Firefox arcade game back in action. Daphne, the laserdisc emulator doesnt support it, and the only thing i saw, was the videofile jumping from scene to scene…
I played that game in an arcade back in 1983. The gameplay was repetitive and simplistic but the graphics were awesome!
your version is not relevant any more
thanks =)
it doesnt work
Thanks for the video!
This was very helpful
I have a question though. How can I put all my IE bookmarks to firefox? I used to use IE now I got addicted to firefox because it works better.
Thanks in advance!

@Poowee117 Did it give you any specific reason as to why it was not able to process the backup file?
- Joey

You are welcome everyone. I am glad you liked the video
- Joey
thanks man, that was really helpful
thanks buddy
who cares?
nice thanks
Somewhere in the settings / options you need to tell Norton 360 to ignore Firefox (“Add an Exception” or “Allow”). Or it might use some other terminology to allow you to tell it to leave Firefox alone and not monitor it.
btw, if you want my opinion on what is the best Anti-Virus and Firewall software I would say Kaspersky Internet Security 2010.
I downloaded Norton 360 and now history and bookmarks can’t be used plus I cannot go to the previous page using the green arrow or forward. Can you help?
thnx alot
More than likely you will not see the “Application Data” folder. It will be HIDDEN. To UNhide the foler just follow my tutorial on here called, “How-To Hide and Unhide Files and Folders/ View File Extensions and Edit Them”

In Windows XP, Go to…
C:Documents and SettingsAdministratorApplication DataMozillaFirefoxProfiles
In that folder above there should be 1 or 2 profiles unless you got fancy . Choose the profile you want to recover the bookmarks from (on my work computer I only had 1 profile)
Then go to the “bookmarkbackups” folder and you will find the older bookmarks.

i have XP;… why? please help me.. i need to recover the bookmarks deleted 3 month ago… please
Do you have a XP or Vista computer?
- Joey
man… soryy but can i know the actual ways to recover firefox bookmarks on last 2 month or 3 month ago? PLease help me….
Most of the time when you reinstall Windows (XP, Vista, Windows 7) it erases everything that was there before.
I can’t find my bookmarks in windows.old after reinstalling vista.
Something I have been messing around with the past year is the Delicious(dot)com. It allows you to save all your bookmarks & access them from any computer. If I have a bad hard drive crash and cant recover anything (which happens to me about every 4-6 years) this will not be a problem now. If I am at work or at a friends home & want to go to a site but forgot the address this is not a problem. I can access my bookmarks easily.
If you have already found the location of your Firefox bookmarks folder and some archives are not there I am not sure where they went and doubt you can recover them.
With the ones you do have you can view the contents by dragging and dropping them in an open Firefox browser. They will be all be listed in a Tree-like view. From there you can be picky and manually save any bookmark you want.
