I only use Macs but I have used Android phones since the G1 (I upgraded to the Nexus One and soon I’ll be upgrading to the G2) – am I a fanboy? “Yes, definitely, suck Steve Jobs’ dick,” a fanboy would say. Could it be that YOU are the real fanboys – Google fanboys? Although, technically you can’t be, as Google themselves have over half their employees using Macs, the rest using Linux.
Newbie question…since Android is an open platform, does this mean I don’t have to jailbreak anything to run homebrew apps? I’m used to thinking in terms of hacks to make things run on portable devices

Some of the features in this video should have made it to Android 1.0+ Like the notification system on the first phone. Just click up to see the text. Android notifications today IMO are too cluttered.

@lopi141 Latest word from Sony Ericsson is that it should be with us in around the 3rd of 4th week of this month (September) for the SE Xperia range. I’ve been waiting on it a while myself. Pretty disappointed that they are still only releasing 2.1, and not 2.2 like the rest of the android world are now using.

Something about Apple’s iphone OS is just, better. I cant explain it, I just enjoy it and get stuff done way better with it. I like android a lot, though. The one thing I want that the iphone OS doesn’t have is speech to text functions like the voice search.
