@bassharghani Because at the time of my comment, (1 year ago) 2.3 Gingerbread didn’t exist. Also, I don’t appreciate being referred to “jack ass.” It was an unnecessary insult added to a reasonable question. Furthermore, please pay closer attention to details like when a comment was posted in the future to avoid mishaps like this.

@jjoeshaw I agree a lot. It’s very true. IPhone lags behind on features that people really wants than some stupid ugly glossy app icons.

How long did it take the iPhone to get wallpapers? 4 updates. How long did it take android? it had it from the beginning. What about folders? iPhone: 3 updates. Android had it from the beginning. How about search? Android: from the beginning. iPhone: 3 updates.

I have a dell streak ,android 1.6 and I love how it looks and I some other stuff about 1.6, but I don’t of I should update it to 2.2. the thing is that thsre are some apps that don’t work on 1.6, and I need them. so could you guys tell me if i should update to 2.2

@elelamb This channel is called ‘androiddevelopers’. Different screen resolutions were a pretty big problem for android developers.

Awkward when they copy Spotlight and the App store from iPhone… also boasting about how it runs on ‘different screen sizes’ which really cannot be classed as a customer feature. And then, when demoing, the OS is very laggy :/

@InifinteRCMainiac Yes, Each manufacture can customize the UI (what everything looks like) to their liking. A few popular ones are Sense UI and Touch Wiz. This can be changed through Homescreen apps, or by loading a custom rom onto the phone.
