Question by day by day: Why do so many businesses and organizations still use IE 6 and outdated antivirus?
I have been working voluntarily at a hospital and visit a local library often. I noticed they are using IE 6 and 4 years old McAfee anti-virus. I understand the buying-Endpoint protection can be expensive. What I do not understand why she is not 5 minutes at the end of the day Internet Explorer, security definitions, and all their old programs, especially those who are free to update.

Like a lot of these places they only call in for technical support when something goes wrong…they don’t have an IT person on duty period. They cut back by using contractors as long as they don’t make any major changes to the system. The original installers put the fear to them.

Cheers

Question by ……..: Why am I suddenly experiencing so many problems with Safari all of a sudden & what can I do to fix it?
Recently Safari has just shut down without warning, even if I open any other windows or many applications. I’ve already tried downloading it again, but I’m still having problems. It is usually my favorite browser, but it is now so unreliable. Any tips on what I can do to fix this problem?

Unfortunately, the answer is to use a different browser.

I am a huge fan of Safari, but when I upgraded to snow leopard it became buggy.

I switched to Firefox and it’s been bug free since.
