How many communities Carrigaline, Co. Cork against increasing competition from major shopping destinations within a short distance from the city. This trend to larger shopping destination with the downturn in the economy combined factors make difficult for the traders in the city. But Carrigaline independent companies have the initiative of the local economy vibrant by joining to Ireland first city-wide roll-Loyalty Card to be taken, with technology developed by a company, Cork to do so.
Carrigaline is not the first city to try the local shops, but it is the first that some companies accept a single city Loyalty Card. Unlike discount cards that give a fixed discount or other benefit, each cardholder, regardless of how often they make a visit to a company’s loyalty cards (or Reward Cards) a transaction to issue points each time a customer visits. The more the customer uses the card, the more points they earn and the greater the reward that they get. Since the company is not a discount on all one-time visitor who can through the door they give greater rewards to their most regular customers walks.
operation of the program is simple Carrigaline, a customer collects their free map from one of the parties and shows this card each time they shop at participating restaurants. Once the customer has accumulated enough points, they have a reward that could be anything from a discount to a free gift. An important aspect of the program is ensuring that items purchased in a store are only valid for rewards in this business, so that local people snack does not have to rotate after the publication of demanding free chips.
The response from businesses and particularly from customers was very positive. “It’s a great idea,” said Theresa Woods A resident, “It’s always nice to get something back when you shop on site and it is good to keep the companies in Carrigaline for something, go see the city.”
Carrigaline card localrewards.ie under the banner operation. This is a service that myrewardcard.ie specifically for you city maps and share the Cork-based developer of technology. The company developed a fully hosted service that they originally intended directly to independent companies for more power and information than the punched-card customers who sought are usually provided in. “I had the spread of punched cardboard cards, which have seen nothing for her show business,” said the Chief Executive of myrewardcard.ie, Brian O’Connell. “It was obvious that smaller companies would benefit from a reward system that it showed the same kind of transaction pattern, the benefit to see the supermarkets. So we built it.”
The resulting service makes advanced loyalty card programs for small businesses. It requires only an Internet connection and browser to use and eliminates the need for customers of software updates or database backups. This platform is now used by a number of businesses from restaurants to farms and butchers to DIY trailer. Just like the dealer in each of these questions can Carrigaline their points, while their customers can register their cards online to see their transaction history. The platform will also call for the protection of our customers if they lose their cards and uniquely enables customers to “freeze” their card without waiting for a replacement.
myrewardcard.ie platform is now used to cities issue Loyalty Cards localrewards.ie under the banner of help to do with Carrigaline first. The advantage of this approach is that a person who has only one card in every city, so that individual companies do not have to fight for wallet space. And because the system with a period of well-known rewards regular customers instead of offering discounts to anonymous cardholder uses it to related shopping in the community with a set of actions that it can support planned for Carrigaline. “Once the cards are widespread, we are looking at promotions like attracts customers, the card in 5 different companies to use in 1 month or rewards for the person who has ten thousand transactions. This is organized by the local traders,” said Brian O’Connell, “and will bring the true strength of a city Reward Card to the fore.”
Carrigaline localrewards program is available with 8 independent company with a broad range of markets, including book stores, shoe stores, tire centers and pet stores. More will be accepting the card in the coming weeks. “The response from the community was fantastic.” Says Damian McCarthy, sales director at myrewardcard.ie. “Independent companies know that they must work together and create a sense of community if they are to compete with the larger chains. Localrewards.ie helps them that.”
