Sending out fenders, wheels or other antique auto parts for traditional chrome plating is expensive. Now there is a new, innovative system that has a shiny chrome finish as a fraction of the cost. The PChrome ™ system was developed by Peacock Laboratories of Philadelphia, PA, a company that develops revolutionized the brightness of the reflection with a new silvering technology.
PChrome The new system is based on the accumulation of a series of layers, which are simply sprayed on – no immersion tanks of cyanide are involved. While the process is exacting and each coating must be carefully mixed and applied, no special skills or experience are required. Users say they quickly a surface that looks as good as chrome, and that goes for beginners as well as body shop professionals.
PChrome users also have the substrate bonding of this finishing system as hard and enduring as traditional chrome plating found, perhaps even more. PChrome is also very resistant to salt-laden air envirommental and other caustic.
Recently a finisher PChrome tested by cross-hatch lines every 1/16th etching inches. He pressed tape on the surface and pulled her to see how many would PChrome “squares” release. None did. He said all other competitive systems he’d have used this test.
PChrome offers a reasonably priced “Starter Kit” on the website PChrome.com. This includes all spray guns, hoses and other accessories needed to coat PChrome on a variety of substrates of glass, tiles, metal to plastics. In addition The Starter Kit comes with sufficient materials to 800 square meters surface PChrome
