Introduction Movies.ie, a new website for Irish cinema goers.

Movies.ie is a sister site to Movies Plus magazine, a monthly publication about cinema distributed to 300 locations around Ireland. Due to their magazine background, Movies.ie access to movie stars, features and competitions that can not get any other Irish website without competition, together with typical products such as movie times, news and trailers that one would expect from a site like this.

The site for beta testing started in March of this year thanks to the web 2.0 backend they have a loyal user base, contributing to the busy forums and write built for the latest movies. From 08 July Movies.ie receiving over 1 million page impressions per month and this is expected to increase significantly as a beta test completed on the site.

Editor Vincent Donnelly, a self-proclaimed movie enthusiast says, “the website of filmmakers for filmmakers, we run so much content that we do not all fit in Movies Plus magazine had so Movies.ie can bring us all our extra- features to movie fans. We have so much content that we are able to update the site every day of the week, which means visitors get more than just movie times and in return for the latest articles daily.

Web 2.0 elements Movies.ie have a huge success. Some high-profile people in the Irish film industry currently write blogs on the site, including the Irish Film Censor and high-profile directors.

movie fans, eager to write their own reviews have a habit of visiting the site if you have a movie get seen. There are several discussions in the forum Movies.ie area that both casual gamers and movie fans and enthusiasts to meet. Some movie fans have an offline group for going to the movies created once per week.

Another issue is the monthly Movies.ie TV show, a video podcast available on iTunes and YouTube is, it offers video interviews with many Hollywood stars and regularly reach the Top 10 now in iTunes podcast chart.
