Video by topic Simple (www.topicsimple.com) Transcription So if you have already paid attention to the chatter on the Internet these days, especially geeky chatter, you may have heard the term HTML5. Now what is it? HTML stands for, uhhh forget it, but the behind the scenes coding language that we in the situation, things can be seen online. Since the original HTML was invented by rail over 20 years, it has gone through many updates, but since its a more than a decade since the last time, and in web terms, which is pretty much always. I mean, like 10 years ago, we all still love our digital watches. So, since HTML is a few steps behind changes to the Web for some time. For example, when video came along, there was no way to integrate it in an HTML page, so different companies developed their own video player to work around it. This worked OK, but they all were all external plugins, which means that you had to download it, and that was, well, annoying and risky. HTML5 is adding capabilities with this stuff to do – like video – right in his code, so that plugins hopefully will not be necessary. And there are plans to add a bunch more cool things that were previously difficult or even impossible to implement with HTML alone. The general hope is that someday there will be a standard, consistent Web experience across all devices and browsers provide.
