How do I change default word processor on google chrome?

Question by Ryan V: How do I change default word processor on google chrome?
I recently bought a new laptop, running Windows 7. It came with a Microsoft-starter, I have a free trial version of Microsoft 2010, until I can get the CD to an office suite to run. I use Google Chrome as my web browser, but every time I download a Word file, it opens in Microsoft starter. Internet explorer downloads in my free trial, how do I download Google Chrome here?

How to save Chrome bookmarks for installation later?

Question by : How to save Chrome bookmarks for installation later?
Ok, so I try to install Windows 7 on my computer, and I’m wondering how I can save a list of all my bookmarks that I can get away from my computer? And how to bookmark on Chrome again after I install Windows 7? I have Chrome, and I hope I did not copy and paste each link to save to a Word document.

Easy, there are two ways I would recommend
1. Set up Chrome sync: Press the wrench>”Sign into Google Chrome” You’re done!

Or…

2. Chromes data (cashe, bookmarks, History, ect) will be in application data, The location of this file varies from Windows XP to windows Vista/7, I’ll put both of them here

In windows Vista/7 Chromes application data will be in C:\Users\[Yourusername]\appdata\Google
In windows XP it should be in C:\Documents and Settings\[YourUserName]\Application Data\Google
You might not be able to see the application data folder, if you can’t see them, then type this into the address bar.
NOTE: Type your actual username instead of “[YourUserName]”

After you are in the “google” folder you should see a folder called “Chrome” While google chrome is closed put the “Chrome” folder into a zip file (Right click>send to>compressed (zip) folder)

Now that you have this zip folder find a place to store it online (You could send yourself an e-mail, upload it on dropbox)

After you have installed windows 7 go to application data (C:/Users/[YourUserName]/appdata/local) and make a folder called “Google” if one doesn’t already exist
extract the zip on the folder named google.

Can I “chrome” the black rubberized strip that goes around the body panels of my 1985 Corvette?

Question by avp071: Can I “chrome” the black rubberized strip that goes around the body panels of my 1985 Corvette?
I know that many have been great advances in the automotive paint section made in the past decade, I would like to get that body strip chrome or anodized or whatever, so it is shiny silver. Preferably Chrome.

I believe the answer here is yes and no. Imagine that – thats weird.
Chroming is a plating process for metals and only metals – as far as I know. Your strip being rubber – then no.

However, I do believe that your strip could be “painted” – I recently watched an episode of “Pimp My Ride” and the painter did a design on the side that – when finished looked “mirror-like” like chrome . It used a special spray gun and everything and as I recall had some type of “wash” either before or after the “spraying” process.
You could talk to your local painter “high-end” and see if he is familiar with the process. I doubt its cheap and I doubt he has the equipment but – if you are very serius and have the “Benjamins” then by all means “Go for It”.

Hope this helps
