A lot of websites have a browser detector built into the site. All it does is read which browser you are using, and redirects you to the mobile version of the site if it detects a mobile-only browser. Since you are running Safari, and the Touch has full HTML capability, you shouldn’t ever have to worry about being redirected to mobile versions of your favorite sites.
