Why Internet Explorer does not work on my computer, but it is Safari?

My computer can connect to the Internet via Safari, and not Internet Explorer. I use Comcast cable for internet access. They went out and test the connection and was well on its use Trend Micro extremo.Puedo my firewall and antivirus software.
