What is the difference between Firefox and Internet Explorer?

My school has two and the same thing. Whenever I go to a site that works well: there must be a fire, or you must have Internet Explorer. So why Firefox to download? Have not you already have a browser? What is the background like? Internet Explorer has tabbed browsing.

The winner is clearly Firefox 2.

Firefox is much faster in places of loading and recovery. There are changes that can bring the two that cause the differences end. But none of them to a school computer, however.
