Click Help then About. It will tell you the version number. It should save your favorites, but if you want to back them up, you can copy them somewhere. You’ll find them at
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Setings\Your User Name\Favorites
Windows Vista and Windows 7: C:\Users\Your User Name\Favorites

To find out Internet Explorer version, you can open Help -> About ( i think….i never use IE for ages, or something similiar with it under Help menu )
If you think of reinstalling, I will suggest you to install Firefox ( http://www.mozilla.com/firefox ) or Chrome ( http://www.google.com/chrome ) instead.
Both will automatically import your favorites and stuffs during installation.
Both are more secure and faster than the crappy IE
Internet explorer is the standard and I have included a link for it. Favorites are not necessarily saved on a reinstall unless you back up folder with the favorites. But in all honesty use firefox way better!! remember to use system restore if you wanna roll back a program install. Also included firefox link.
Hi, i don’t know what is your operating system, it is a 32-bit or 64bit? Reinstall the IE it will save your favorites, if you still are not undefined, get help via http://www.teesupport.com/lp/pc-errors/6/. It is FREE.
