Depending on your system (XP, Vista / 7), the Firefox settings / bookmark folder is going to be somewhere in the Application Data folder. You can either do a bookmark backup and just transfer the bookmark file saved through Firefox or you can transfer the bookmarks along with the files and directories within the Profile folder.

    Get FEBE add on.
    Once installed, go to Tools> FEBE> Options> Options tab> B.U. type, check ‘Both’> under ‘backup items’, tick ‘Additional items’> tick ‘Select all’;
    Then go to ‘Directory’ tab/destination and tick ‘Browse’> create a folder on the desktop (call it FEBE it gets a little tricky then, but stay with it, and you’ll figure it out from the file extensions.

    You need to export them by going to bookmarks>organize bookmarks then go to the file menu and choose export bookmark info..

    Save as HTML type onto a flash drive if you have one..or just email them to yourself as an attachment and download onto your new pc

    You can save your bookmarks online, so you will not worry about this.

    I use Favoritus.com, there is a way to import your links, very easy.
