Q&A: How do I get my internet explorer to quit shutting down?

Question by working_man41176: How do I get my internet explorer to quit shutting down?
Every time I close a tab or near a window all I close my windows open on Internet Explorer. I mean everything. Even if it minimizes it’s closed. Sometimes it is close to, if I go to a website and the page will not open. Like if I get somewhere then go to new screen saver closes it. I’ve never had this problem before, but this is a new Dell 1420 and it has vista but my wife is 1521 and it has also vista does not. Please help.

Seems like this is an IE problem, try to clear out temporarily files by going to Tools>Internet options>press delete on the general tab>then delete all browsing history if possible. If this won’t work go again to Tools>Internet options>advanced tab>then under browsing on the settings window, uncheck enable 3rd-party browser extensions then restart computer. If this still don’t work, then you really have to uninstall/reinstall IE.
