hear me out- before u say u did this: EVERYONE seems to hate it. Most people think that IE9 is a program, thus can be removed from add/remove programs…WRONG. IE9 is an update. here is what u need to do
START
CONTROL PANEL
ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS
On the left side u have a tab that says INSTALLED UPDATES-click it
FIND IE 9- and click uninstall
AFTER THAT u will need to restart the computer- and u will be back to IE8

  1. Alfred says:

go to this website to get Internet Explorer 8
    http://www.microsoft.com/uk/windows/internet-explorer/thank-you.aspx

but if your computer just persists Internet Explorer 9 is better then go to start button and type in the search bar “system restore”, open it and choose the date of the restore point BEFORE you updated to Internet Explorer 9.

    Hi HollyAnneG,

I would recommend you remove IE9 make sure your PC and Windows has all the latest updates and then Try downloading IE9 again.

But if you want to uninstall Internet Explorer altogether just follow these instructions (they apply to both Windows 7 and Windows Vista.)
1.Click the Start button , type Programs and Features in the search box, and then click View installed updates.
2.Right-click Windows Internet Explorer 9, click Uninstall, and then, when prompted, click Yes.
    3.Click one of the following:
•Restart now (to finish the process of uninstalling Internet Explorer 9, and restore the previous version of Internet Explorer).
•Restart later (to wait until you shut down or restart your computer).
    Cheers,
