My internet browser wont work, it just loads and it shows that Im connected. How can I fix this?

My desktop is connected to my router, and my router is connected to my modem. My computer is showing that I am connected to the network, but when I try to use the internet the browser just loads, and nothing ever shows up. Can someone please help me. Or is my computer broken?

    Can you ping your router?
    can you access your router using your browser?
    If you bypass the router and can connect to the Internet, then the chances are that you have not cloned your MAC ID and your modem will not give the router WAN side an IP address
    Open the router manual
    access the router
    clone the MAC ID
    save the settings
    Restart the router
    Surf
