Is there a good way to make some website shortcuts open in firefox and some in IE when Firefox is my default?

Question by sproe: Is there a good way to make some website shortcuts open in firefox and some in IE when Firefox is my default?
I would like to keep Firefox as the default, but there are certain sites (such as Microsoft partner), the only run on IE. If I could make a shortcut on the desktop for each of the sites like this and have to use IE instead of Firefox when I click, that would be perfect – or if I could ask which browser I want. Thanks.

Usually in most browsers there is an icon to the left of a URL. You can click and drag that icon to your desktop and you should have an icon for that website you just visited. Now you can right click, and select properties. Then click change, select IE if it is there and select ok. Now click apply and ok again and you should be done. Double click to test it out.
P.S. You can also drag this into your quick launch bar to open it faster.

There is an add-on for Firefox here: http://ieview.mozdev.org/ called IEview. Once installed in Firefox, it places an icon on the status bar. If you left-click on that icon, it switches the rendering engine of the current page to IE. You can set options for individual sites to “always view this page in IE.” The only problem I’ve had is for sites that require a log-in, if you’re logged in through Firefox, if you switch to IE, you’ll go to a log-in page. If you log in in IE, Yahoo, for example, will log you out of Firefox. It’s not perfect, but better (for me) than filling up my desktop with shortcuts.
