Mozilla firefox is faster than internet explorer
you can get addons to make firefox a whole lot better like skins and everything and to top it all off it blocks popups
yh get firefox its quickers and safer and u can custermize it
If you are getting popups, you *DO* have a virus…
Unless all the popups are coming on only 1 or 2 sites…
Scan your system with Malware Bytes Anti-Malware (free edition) from http://malwarebytes.org to see if it comes up with anything.
Yes, Mozilla does a very good job, especially if you install the ad-block plus program and subscribe to the “easy list” (after you install, and restart firefox, it’ll be obvious.)
I have ***never*** had an unwanted pop-up.
Seriously, though, if you are getting many popups, and have IE popup blocking turned on, you ARE infected. It’s just that whatever you have on your system that got past your antivirus has managed to aviod detection, possibly actually damaging your anti-virus program to prevent detection.
If Malware Bytes doesn’t find anything, download and run ComboFix from http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe as your virus might be a bit more serious and have installed a rootkit, which can prevent detection by most antivirus products.
firefox is better, more faster and it have so many add ons.its a really good browser.for your homepage yes sure you can keep that as your homepage.after downloading firefox, open and just click the tool, the scroll to options and there you can change it.copy your homepage then paste it.give a try then you can see whats the diffence.and if you dont like you can easily uninstall it and you can go back to your original browser.
Hi Tylen,
Everyone here has some really good tips.
Here’s the story. Opera is the fastest browser out of the box. As soon as you download it, you notice how much faster and lighter it is than IE.
Firefox is the safest browser, but it’s kind of slow out of the box. However, once Firefox is tweaked, it is blazing fast.
Firefox has a ton of plugins that you can add to customize your browser, but the one that you must have for a lightning fast browser is Firetune. This is a free plugin that tweaks your browser to make it at least twice as fast as it is right now.
Link is in the source box.
If you need any other tips, just ask.
It is cause internet explor is starting to find hackers like the one thats going around right now about the person with the fourm data and the passwords for acconts like myspace im about to swtich to it
The very first reason why you should check out Firefox is that if for some reason it works bad or does not work at all, you can always reinstall it or get rid of it. Unlike the infamous Internet Explorer, which keeps getting worse and worse as the technology develops. It’s like it goes the opposite direction on purpose. Imagine the IE interface which reminds you of a bunch of rocks (well, that’s too far back, or who knows, maybe not that far). IE is the pain in the neck I can never get rid of. What happened to the freedom of choice? I mean I choose to get rid of IE, but sadly I can’t. However, I can use freedom of choice well enough when I decide to install Firefox and abandon that ######## IE which still takes up room in my PC. Well, enough of IE bashing, because I could go on forever.
As someone else said, there are loads of useful add-ons (popup blocker is included there too) which is the next reason why you should get Firefox. I’ve been using it for years and I am using it right now and I am happy, because it was my free choice. Nobody shoved it up my ###, unlike… you know what.
And yes, you can keep Yahoo as your homepage. So go on, switch to Firefox and be happy with it!!!
