Question by roughneck721: How do I switch to the new Yahoo Mail using the latest version of Mozilla Firefox?
I downloaded the latest version of Mozilla Firefox (3.5.5), but I can not switch to the new version of Yahoo Mail. Yahoo says the all new e-mail is not supported by my browser, and that I have Firefox 2 or later, I made (I have version 3.5) have to download, but it will only let me use Mail Classic.

Make sure you have Javascript turned on. I am using Firefox 3.5.5 and the all-new mail with no problem. tools > options > content

Download Mozilla Firefox 3.5 – http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/
Then get the AdBlockPlus add on – https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865
I use both of these and all of my inbox’s (incl. hotmail and aol) are free of adverts. What AdBlockPlus does is scan the page and block the adverts from loading. So in doing that it also speeds up your browsing as there is not so much crap to load.
Download Google Chrome – http://www.google.com/chrome?hl=en
➊ Download and install Privoxy.
❷ Click on the Wrench icon in Chrome in the upper right corner.
➌ Choose options -> Under The Hood -> Change proxy settings.
➍ In the Internet Properties dialog’s Connections tab, click on the LAN settings button.
❺ Check off “Proxy settings” and in the address setting add 127.0.0.1 and in the port 8118.
❻ If you have the option, you can also check off “Bypass proxy for local settings”.
❼ Click “OK,” close Chrome and restart it.
Download Internet Explorer – http://www.microsoft.com/windows/Internet-explorer/default.aspx
First, you need to download a list of filters adapted from the adblock plus list for Internet Explorer 8. This can be found here or attached at the end of this article. Download the archive and extract its content.
NOTE: If you want to have the ad blocking filters running each time you use Internet Explorer 8, then follow the instructions on how to keep InPrivate Filtering enabled forever.
➊ Start Internet Explorer 8, click on Tools and then on Manage Add-ons.
❷ In the Manage Add-ons window, click on InPrivate Filtering and then on Import.
➌ Browse to the location where you extracted the rules.xml file, select it and click on Open.
➍ When the import is done, you will receive a notification such as the one below.
❺ Now close the Manage Add-ons window and you are done.
