How come my Internet browser can’t read other languages?

Question by Teresa B: How come my Internet browser can’t read other languages?
My computer desktop Internet browser can not read other languages, for example, I can not see my Korean friends commented on their profile page in Korean, when I look at their site or when I’m surfing on a site that in itself this language. I think it is the language is broken or it is not on my web browser. Please help me if you know how to solve this problem. Thanks.

This could be you don’t have the korean font installed that the korean web page is using. I know that Ubuntu Linux has a complete set of fonts for most languages in Firefox. In IE, somewhere, there is a Preferences to display pages in the language you prefer. I will comment I have the most hell with Microsoft products displaying Unicode characters, so you might try Firefox.

You probably need to install East Asian Languages support on Windows. Check in Control Panel, Regional settings, and under one of the tabs should be a checkbox to install East Asian Languages support. You will probably need your Windows CD.

I’m guessing it’s Windows, since Mac and Linux should support Korean out of the box.
