How can you force Internet Explorer to use a different network card?

I have two network cards. The first I want to use for a local Citrix (Terminal Services more or less) connection. The second I’d like to use for only Internet Explorer. Is there any way to set this up?

  1. You did what? RTFM! says:

Are you using Citrix with TCP/IP protocol? If not, unbind it from the card.

Run each card on a different network. Use the Advanced options on the TCP/IP properties for an alternate address.

For a similar need at work, I set one card for a private VPN network to have a metric of 100 and set explicit route statements for the IP addresses it would connect to to use that interface. The other card I set with a metric of 10 and set it as the default gateway interface for everything else (as well as set explicit routes for the private network it was assigned to). Make the routes permanent, though. You don’t want to have to do it every time you reboot.
