Question by kwels: How can i switch back to internet explorer 7 from internet explorer 8?
I recently downloaded Internet Explorer 8 and it is even worse and makes my internet slow. I tried to download Internet Explorer 7 again, but my computer said that it does not support it. How should I re-download Internet Explorer is and get rid of Internet Explorer 8 and turn it for 7? I think it is downgrading?

Go here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/957700

It explains everything you need to do to get rid of it. You should also get Firefox. It’s the fastest, best looking (with appearance add-ons), and funnest web browser you can get.

Good luck!

Apparantly, IE8 is FULL of glitches. I downloaded it because Yahoo reccomended it, and it’s always giving me errors. There’s no way to get the old one back (So I’ve been told) but I’ve been reccomended Mozilla Firefox, it’s suposedly better, and I’ve known some computer geeks who would agree. I’m actually downloading it now.

Steps to Uninstalling Internet Explorer 8 in Windows Vista

    • From the Start menu, open Control Panel and click Programs

    • Click Programs and Features and click View Installed Updates (located in the left side menu)

    • Select Windows Internet Explorer 8 and Uninstall

    • Your machine will be reverted to IE7 + previous IE7 security updates

    • You can confirm that by clicking Help, then clicking About Internet
Explorer next time you launch Internet Explorer.

    • Be sure to check for any new security updates.

But it’s safer to use Firefox… Go to http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/ and download!

Firefox includes strict anti-phishing and anti-malware measures, plus easy ways to help you to protect your security… It also has many useful addons to customize Firefox and it’s speed is also reasonable!

I found this from a former yahoo answer.
