In October, the Mozilla Corporation released Firefox 2. 0, the third major release of its award-winning Web browser (1. 0 and 1. 5, were the previous steps) s. As a Firefox user for a long time? I was back when the product was originally called Phoenix? I would have expected to fall on Firefox 2. 0. But the truth is that Mozilla really disappointed with it. Unlike its main competitor, Internet Explorer 7 (see my review), Firefox 2 doesn t include any new feature that is really important. And his replacement graphic is ugly, especially on Windows Vista.
Most notable, however, is Firefox? S pathetic new anti-phishing feature, which is almost ridiculously bad. An update Firefox doesn poor? T signal the end of time. But it did and the development of Windows Vista to the end, Firefox 2 was a bit of bad timing for me. The problem was that I needed to test the features of Vista such as Internet Explorer 7 regularly, and since IE 7 was so good, had little reason to abandon ship a new version of Firefox, frankly, I rub in upside. If IE 7 is a dog like previous versions, or had Firefox 2 was a little more exciting, things would have been otherwise. So, I was surprised to see me move towards a user of IE in the last months of 2006.
Ultimately, old habits die hard. I continued to install Firefox 2 compatibility testing, and even if it has fundamentally changed to IE 7, which occasionally turn on the new version of my old favorite and see how things evolve. Since October, Mozilla has released at least a minor update of Firefox 2, which will be version 2. 0. 0. 1 by the writing of this document. And me? I found a way to avoid some of my biggest problems with Firefox 2.
So? I have been remiss in not reviewing this browser, but I? I’ll do for her now. FireFox Foxfire 2 remains a viable and desirable, even for IE, but the law last updated? T add new features. If you can get over the lack of progress, you may be happy to find, like me, Firefox is a pure product that deserves more attention.
