The big news this morning is that Google is launching its own operating system during the second half of 2010. Originally designed for netbooks (small notebooks incredibly relatively low-end), Google Chrome is an alternative source of light OS Windows, open. It is primarily designed for online use, with all operating system are mainly composed of Google Chrome browser runs on a Linux interface. The vision is that in the future rather than producing a developer of software that requires a download and installation in place creates a Web application that can run from any Internet browser. In many ways, the idea makes sense, you would not have to worry about the update of your software, transport files from one machine to another or even create backups of your files . Everything is stored online, and that none of the usual factors such would be a problem. Developers did not have to worry about creating multiple versions of applications on different operating systems because the user has a browser per day would be able to run the software. Regardless of whether you use a computer that has launched Google Chrome OS, Mac OS or Windows, it would still have access to all your favorite online applications. The ambition is that Google Chrome OS will eventually turn into something that could be considered a viable alternative for use in all types of equipment, not only Netbooks. Personally, I love and hate the idea to shake the way we use our computers in quantity, the possibilities are enormous, but the disadvantages are potentially debilitating and too obvious to ignore. Consider first the fact that the idea is more or less dependent on the user to have a permanent Internet connection. For many, this is not a problem since most users from home and office and has “always based on” broadband connection, however, if you are in a state without the Internet, your system becomes immediately operational unnecessary. While mobile broadband is getting faster and cheaper for those who travel away from a fixed Internet connection will not help if you’re stuck in an airplane for eight hours! One possibility is that the operating system to download web applications on your computer, then run as if it was connected to the Internet.
