Beverly Hills, CA (openPR) 7 March 2006
Microsoft’s MSN search engine is currently in the process of testing its new MSN Ad Center, which compete with rival destinations online pay per click advertising services of Google Adwords and Yahoo’s Overture service. (You can find more information on Pay-Per-Click Advertising on http://www.ppcadvertisingcash.com)
Although only time will tell how the service proves the longer term. (If Microsoft normal release schedule is in place then it should no doubt an effective competitor to Adwords by 2009;).) Seems at the moment it is that Microsoft have decided once again to shoot yourself in the foot
a while, you might remember the story that Microsoft had forgotten the Hotmail.com domain name renewed. And that a good Samaritan who came to remedy the situation through with the $ 20 or so on the Microsoft contract. (If memory serves Microsoft refunded the money)
Now it seems
that Microsoft is interested in the mistakes to be repeated … Only this time it is not a domain renewal. He is no access to their own online advertising solution!
On 6 March, Microsoft opened the doors to open Sign Up Day “for the new service:
https: / / adcenter.msn.com / Default.aspx
Great so far … But after trying for a new account while browsing with Internet Explorer 7 from Microsoft’s own browser. The glorious message,
MSN adCenter does not currently support using the web browser. Please login using Internet Explorer 6 “.
