Google Android on the rugged Blue Bird GDP-6000

SDG Systems, LLC (SDG) today announced the availability of and support for Google ® Androidâ? ¢ 1.5 (“Cupcake”) on the Blue Bird ® ® Pidion GDP-6000. The GDP 6000 is shown with Android, of 11 to 12 January 2010, at the Bluebird Soft Inc. Booth # 2719 at the NRF Convention and Trade Show in New York City. The Android version of the BIP-6000 is for ISVs, VARs and end customers to develop and test Android applications on a commercial enterprise-class rugged mobile computer. The GDP-6000 with Android offers a fast 806 MHz processor, QWERTY or numeric keypad, 1D bar code scanning, 3MP camera with auto focus and flash, GSM voice, HSDPA 3G wireless data and a VGA (480×640 resolution) 3 5 “LCD screen, touch window. The BIP-6000 meets the stringent MIL-STD-810F military standards for drops, vibration, temperature, pressure, humidity and dust and sand exposed to performing making it in harsh environments.
