
Profiles are one of the best kept secrets around Mozilla Firefox (the browser of your choice).
In the role of web designer, I find it useful to have different Firefox extensions created to meet the income test track Adsense Google PageRank and Alexa rating control, etc..
However, when I’m just surfing the Internet, I do not want to be overwhelmed by all these tools, cluttering up my status and toolbars. I like a polished browser, fast simple that looks good and works.
Fortunately, I am able to have two of these scenarios in Firefox, for the wonder of Profiles.
How Firefox Profiles work?
Firefox allows multiple users configure the browser to meet their own needs and preferences, themes and extensions to your favorites and home.
At the start of Firefox, you can choose which profile to use.
Thus, you can now have a profile for your web development needs, one for personal navigation, and even a child (which allows you to increase security measures in Firefox).
Each profile is independent of the others is like having a new installation for each user.
How do I activate Firefox Profiles?
1. First, find the Firefox shortcut on your desktop (or create one from the file. Exe).
2. Click it and select Properties.
3. Finally, the Target box, add ‘-p’ without the apostrophe at the end of the line (to read something like “C: Program FilesMozillaFirefoxfirefox. Exe-p”) and click OK.
Now, when you start Firefox through this shortcut to display the Profiles Manager box (as you do not have an instance of Firefox open). Everything is clear in this regard.
