Many people, however, continue with the web browser installed, not because they know other browsers, but for some reason, they believe that problems occur when using different applications. This article lists seven of these reasons:
1. My computer can run a web browser
In probably 99% of cases, this is completely false. Your computer can run multiple web browsers, and although not necessarily recommend that you download and install each experiment with one or two points of view can provide the location and characteristics that might be useful. As when installing other software, however, backup all important data on your machine, if problems arise.
2. It is too difficult to learn another web browser
Almost all web browsers have a button back and forth, the address bar and search bar. You may have to take a minute to learn other features such as bookmarks / favorites, browsing history, and even more if you want to set up its operations, but to learn to use a new browser should not take long all. Some browsers like Mozilla Firefox, even comes with a help function for users of Internet Explorer.
3. I lose all my bookmarks / favorites
Most browsers support importing bookmarks or favorites from others with ease. This way, you can access your bookmarks with any browser, including one on another computer!
4. Most sites do not display correctly
While some sites such as Windows Update / Microsoft and online banking sites may not function properly in browsers Internet Explorer not, many websites are written with the technologies that work in all browsers. What happens in a growing number of Internet users trying different browsers.
5. Internet Explorer is safer than people say
Although great progress has been made to increase the security of Internet Explorer in recent versions, check sites like Secunia and compare the number of notifications of Internet Explorer over other browsers. particular account of the exploits unpatched and severity – you might be surprised.
6. Spyware and viruses are not a problem – I use (Internet Service Provider to insert here)
Although many ISPs also offer antivirus and anti-spyware/malware for their users, they will not protect you against any problems. These programs do bugs in browsers not patch, but you can detect malware trying to exploit. Also, remember that safety must take a multifaceted approach, since the software can not detect all the pieces of malware. Using a web browser potentially safer with security software, to reduce the risk of infection by malicious software that much more.
7. I’m sure – I have an antivirus program, firewall and anti-spyware
See above. Nothing provides 100% protection, and a few bugs in the browser are exploited, even if you set the browser security settings to the max! However, if you have installed all the software above, the chances of malware infection has decreased dramatically – good work!
Although many people find their Web browsing experience with the default browser appropriate, consider using a different browser. A Web browser may offer different varieties and advanced features, and learn to use should not be too difficult. Many support import bookmarks / favorites and other settings.
