The goal of Google on the Internet faster with the new protocol call spdy – HTTP CHANGE?

The goal of Google on the Internet faster with the new protocol called spdy
Google new Internet protocol to replace the existing HTTP protocol.
Google web page claim to be much faster with the new protocol called sdpy Google.
You may not notice, but in your Web browser there is always a http:// in front of all your web pages. Sometimes even a https: /:.
http Even if there were, this protocol was the only way to communicate on the Internet.
Google created an alternative protocol, called spdy, which means fast.
In the laboratory environment Google developers have created a web server and a client based on Chrome. This client is running on a family environment have been simulated up to 25 sites visited in the world of surfing.
Spdy was up 64% faster than HTTP for downloading web pages in that environment.
Google notes that are at an early stage of the project and the next step is to test the new protocol in a real environment.
The main reason for improvement is how the new protocol to prioritize traffic, a better understanding and ability to have multiple streams of data in the same direction.
Sdpy: / / http:// not replace short term, but Google told reporters that the protocol sdpy want to be a complement to the existing HTTP protocol now no internet.
Google wants to improve the effectiveness of the use of an alternative to HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol), which reduces latency. For the new working protocol, the browser and the web server must be improved, but there will be no need to change their own web pages.
Laboratory tests show Google spdy improved page loading times over HTTP between 27 and 60 per cent, between 39 percent and 55 percent when using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer).
Spdy uses a variety of techniques to speed up Internet downloads, allowing many simultaneous HTTP requests through a single TCP session, giving priority to applications and use compression to reduce the number of packages and the entire amount of the data sent.
Google does not want to leave with spdy. The protocol uses the HTTP headers, but other parts of disabling the protocol, such as connection management and data transfer formats.
Experts said that Google is trying to improve download speeds, and the numbers are very promising, however, for spdy to work, everyone must be on board. The protocol does not become successful if it is compatible with Internet Explorer and Firefox. I might be able to convince Mozilla to implement the protocol in Firefox, but Microsoft will be difficult to convince. However, it can also be a competitive advantage for browsers that wants to take over market share from Microsoft and others.
Google has made the source code for Google Chrome browser available for download prototype and wrote the server code will be available as open source in near future.
Google is opening the code is good, but also requires that the Organization standards (Internet Engineering Task Force) IETF.
The development efforts of other protocols to speed Internet downloads, such as SCTP (Stream Control Transmission Protocol) and SST (Structured Transport Stream) have seen little activity in recent years.
